DETAILED DAY WISE ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrival in Jaipur

As soon as you reach the Jaipur railway station/airport, meet your Yatra tour representative. You will soon be transferred to the hotel, where you will check-in and relax for some time. After some time, come out of the hotel to explore the beautiful and historic city of Jaipur on your own.

Jaipur – the capital of Rajasthan – is a charming Indian city that welcomes you with a pink hue. Most of the buildings here are constructed with pink as their main color, which gives it the title of 'Pink City'. The majestic architectural marvels and vibrant bazaars are major attractions for tourists. The place is home to many craftsmen and artisans, who are responsible for making Jaipur one of the leading centers of handicrafts. A trip to Rajasthan is considered incomplete without visiting the prominent Hawa Mahal, grand City Palace and amazing Jantar Mantar situated here.

Later, go back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 2 - Sightseeing in Jaipur

As soon as you wake up, get ready and embark on a sightseeing tour of the grand city.

Start your trip by visiting the beautiful Hawa Mahal, which is constructed using red and pink sandstones. Comprising beautifully constructed 953 windows, it is often referred to as the 'Palace of Winds'. These windows were built for women of royal families so that they could see the hustle-bustle of the city and special occasions without stepping out. The shape of the palace is similar to the crown of Lord Krishna.

Later, witness the amazing beauty of the majestic City Palace, which is a palace complex that houses Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, and several other buildings. You may also visit the museum inside the palace complex that houses various handicrafts, sculptures, and pictures depicting the glorious history of Rajasthan. Situated in the heart of the city, the palace is a major attraction for tourists.

Later, move ahead to one of the largest solar observatories of India – Jantar Mantar. It was constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh, who was the founder of the city. Jantar Mantar is an acclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site that is still used for astronomical observations, because of its accuracy. You can also pay a visit to grand forts like Nahargarh Fort and Amer Fort.

Later, head back to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 3 - Jaipur to Mandawa | Sightseeing in Mandawa

Today, freshen up in the morning and get ready to proceed towards Mandawa. Upon arrival at the Mandawa station, meet a Yatra tour representative. Soon you will be transferred to the hotel, where you can check-in and relax.

After some time, come out of the hotel and commence your sightseeing trip of Mandawa, which is located in the Jhunjhunu district of the Shekhawati region in Rajasthan. Founded in the 18th century, the fort town was once home to rich merchant families. It has beautiful forts, minarets, and castles, which maintain the charm of the city.

Start your sightseeing trip of Mandawa by visiting the grand Havelis of Mandawa that are known for their spectacular architecture. These Havelis or mansions depict the rich past of the entire state, especially the historic city of Mandawa. The most important mansions of the famous groups are Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, Jhunjhunwala Haveli, and Goenka Double Haveli.

As the place was home to merchants, trade was a very common practice here. The Main Bazar of Mandawa is the best place to know about the trade history of the town. Handicrafts made by local artists are major attractions in this vibrant marketplace.

In the evening, move towards the grand Mandawa Fort. Located in the foothills of the Aravalli Hills, this fort is famous for its medieval charm and stories associated with it. Walls of the Mandawa Fort are decorated with beautiful paintings and spectacular mirror work. The antique collection of the fort is something that attracts tourists in huge numbers.

Later, move back to your hotel for overnight sleep.

 

Day 4 - Arrival in Bikaner | Sightseeing in Bikaner

Freshen up in the morning and check-out from the hotel in Mandawa. As soon as you reach Bikaner, meet your Yatra tour representative. From here, you will be transferred to the hotel, where you will check-in and relax for a while.

Later, come out of the hotel for a sightseeing trip of Bikaner, which is a bustling desert city covered with swirling sand. The city is frequently visited by travelers as it has maintained its quaint charm through vibrant marketplaces, monuments, and great camel safari sites. A trip to Rajasthan is almost incomplete without visiting this famous tourist destination.

Commence your sightseeing tour of Bikaner by visiting Junagarh Fort, which was constructed by Raja Rai Singh – the erstwhile ruler of the city. The architecture of this fort is a perfect fusion of Gujarati, Rajasthani and Mughal styles. This fort complex comprises several palaces and constructions like Hawa Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Diwan-e-khas and Ganga Mahal.

Next, you can also visit the famous Lalgarh Palace. This palace was constructed in the year 1902, by a brave ruler of Bikaner – Maharaja Ganga Singh. It is a feast to the eyes because of its beautiful architecture. The palace is made of red sandstone, which multiplies its charm.  Lalgarh Palace house a huge lawn, which is home to many rare and lovely birds, especially peacocks.

You cannot afford to miss the amazing experience of a Camel Safari at the time of sunset. Amidst desert, the camel safari gives you an enchanting view of the landscape.

Later at night, go back to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 5 - Bikaner to Pushkar en route Ajmer | Sightseeing in Pushkar

Today, after freshening up, get ready for a journey towards Pushkar. On the way, you will get a chance to visit Ajmer –  the city of Khwaja. The bustling city of Ajmer is the fifth largest in Rajasthan. Enveloped amidst the lofty Aravalli Hills, the city is famous for maintaining its deep-rooted Islamic heritage. Ajmer is home to the most important pilgrimage for Muslims in India – Dargah of Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti. The place pulls innumerable devotees every year, especially during the annual Urs festival dedicated to the saint. The beauty of Ajmer can be seen in the month of Ramazan when almost the entire city is dotted with devotees.

Afterward, move towards the religious and historic town of Pushkar, which is situated in the district of Ajmer. It is said by experts that Pushkar is one of the oldest existing places in the world. This town is home to several huge and revered temples and is amongst the main pilgrimages for Hindus.

The main attraction of Pushkar from where you can start your sightseeing trip is the enchanting Jagatpita Brahma Temple. It is dedicated to the creator God of Hindus – Lord Brahma. It is believed that amongst one of the few temples of Lord Brahma present in India, this is the most important one.

After witnessing the beauty of the Brahma temple, pay a visit to the enchanting Pushkar Lake. Surrounded by several bathing ghats, this lake is considered the king of pilgrimages by Hindus. It is believed that a dip in this lake can wash away all your sins. Not only this, but it is also known for curing severe skin diseases.

Afterward, go back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6 - Pushkar to Jaipur | Departure from Jaipur

As soon as you wake up, check-out of the hotel and proceed towards Jaipur, from where you will depart back home. Tour Ends.
