Day 1 - Arrive in Cochin

Upon arrival at the Cochin Airport, board the vehicle that will take you to your respective hotel. Cochin is a coastal city that lies on the western coast of Peninsular India. This port city enthrals travellers with its historical monuments, beaches and lush environs. Some of the major landmarks of this place are St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and Santa Cruz Basilica.

After arrival at the hotel, check-in and take some rest. As the rest of the day is free for leisure activities, you may choose to savour the local cuisine, which is served at several food joints. Alternately, you can explore the bustling markets and streets of Cochin to shop for souvenirs. After a memorable day, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2 - Drive from Cochin to Thekkady (200 km/approx. 5 hours)

Savour a delicious breakfast at the hotel, and thereafter, leave for Thekkady. Home to the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Thekkady is visited by several tourists across the year. Besides being a haven of wildlife, this sanctuary has a beautiful lake, where you can enjoy a delightful boat ride. Thekkady is also known for its spice plantations, where many aromatic spices like pepper, clove, nutmeg and cardamom are grown.

Upon arrival in Thekkady, check-in at the hotel and relax. Later, you can either indulge in leisure activities or just take rest in the hotel room. Retire to the hotel room and get a good night's sleep.

 

Day 3 - Day for Activities in Thekkady

Soon after breakfast, set out on an exciting day in Thekkady. Adventure seekers have ample opportunities to indulge in adrenaline-pumping activities, such as bamboo rafting, trekking, rock climbing and border hiking. You can opt for a joyous boat cruise (Charges applicable) on the placid waters of the lake in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. While on a cruise, you might get a chance to spot some wild animals and birds, which inhabit this natural reserve. Sprawling over an area of 925 sq. km, this wildlife refuge is bounded by the picturesque Cardamom and Pandalam Hills. It was also declared as a tiger reserve in the year 1978 as it serves a natural habitat to the Indian tiger.

After a thrilling tour, return to the hotel and sleep the night away.

 

Day 4 - Drive from Thekkady to Cochin (200 km/approx. 5 hours) | Depart from Cochin

Soon after breakfast, head towards the Cochin Airport to board your return flight.
